The Visitor Centre

Airport House is open the first Sunday of every month and is well worth a visit not only if your interested in aviation but to learn a bit more about how the airport played it's part in history including of course during the war years. The old reconstructed tower is well worth spending a bit of time in.

The Visitor Centre

Our schools’ education programme brings to life the fascinating international story of Croydon Airport. We encourage school children to engage with the unique history told at the Croydon Airport Visitor Centre. A downloadable Teachers Pack has been produced which can be used to support school visits or as a classroom learning resource.

Making the micro museum more accessible to all is important to us so that everyone has equal opportunity to learn, enjoy and be inspired.

School visits

School visits to the micro museum can be arranged in advance, as resources allow.  Our aim is to make the visit as interactive and engaging as possible. Our spaces are limited so depending on class size it may be necessary to divide into smaller groups. There are displays, maps, photos, dressing-up costumes and interactive activities to explore in the Visitor Centre and giving the children a real hands-on experience.
